Kent Matthes is the Founder of Stadium Ventures and a fully certified MLB Agent since 2018. Prior to launching SV, Kent held senior roles at the world’s largest sports and entertainment agency, where he played a central role in helping push client valuations beyond $1 billion.

A former professional player himself, Kent brings a rare dual perspective grounded in both firsthand experience and years of high-level industry insight. As a high school PG All-American, he weighed the MLB Draft before choosing to attend the University of Alabama, where he earned SEC Player of the Year and First Team All-American honors. Drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2009, Kent was recognized as the top power hitting prospect in their system and advanced to Triple-A before retiring after a series of injuries.

Kent’s background allows him to understand the game from the inside out. He knows the pressure, the politics, the opportunities as well as how to guide players through all of it with clarity and purpose.

He lives in Winter Park, Florida, with his wife, Charlyne, and their daughter, Chloé. Away from spending time with his family and serving his clients, Kent enjoys fishing and playing golf.
